Vocabulary Parade makes the news!

Our 4th annual Vocabulary Parade was a success again this year!

This year we were fortunate to have a very special guest, Ms. Sherry Johnson, Interim Region 1 Superintendent, join us. Ms. Johnson came dressed as Miss Alaineus herself and led the host of costumed words marching across the campus.

A special thank you goes out to Vanderlyn parent, Chris Francis, from Fox 5 Atlanta, for covering our special event. Please click here to view a clip of the parade that aired on Fox 5 news on Friday. Thank you for celebrating the learning with us by taking part in our ongoing efforts to promote literacy and increase robust vocabulary and word recognition among our students.

DUMC Great Day of Service and Vanderlyn Campus Clean Up Day

Members from Dunwoody United Methodist Church will be volunteering at Vanderlyn this Saturday, October 22 to help make our campus look beautiful and worthy of a school of excellence! Please consider giving your time to assist this group of volunteers. Bring your children and volunteer together - this is a family friendly event!  The more people we have, the lighter the load for everyone. Please click here to sign up for a shift.
